Trying to Save Her

When the current slows and the waters calm, it was her that made them ruffle. But when the ocean picks up, and wild wind blows, she’s there to help the lost sailor at sea. But how do you help someone that would rather drown? That would rather use up all its resources, to starve to death, to be left at sea, with no one to help them. Even the earth that lay so peacefully beneath the feet has crumbled and continues to crumble. How can one survive alone without a light, a single speck of good within one’s soul? How can someone have so much hate, so much hatred within themselves? That it consumes them entirely? That even the few that tried their hardest to try to help, to try and be good, to try and guide them into the light, are pushed away…
